Remanufactured / Refurbished

There are three types of machine in this category.

Remanufactured

Remanufactured machines are relatively new upgraded Ricoh machines from Government or national accounts.  They are returned to Ricoh’s Telford factory, stripped down to the chasse and rebuilt with all new parts, consumables, newly pressed panels and then reassembled.  All the latest modifications are applied and these machines and in effect new but with an old model number.  They are "R" range machines are better than when they were first released as they have benefited from the years of product technical updates, in field feedback to create improvements and software updates.  They comply with the Weee Directive and are much cheaper than the new equivalent.  All guarantees are the same as for new machines to the extent that leasing companies (who are the owners of leased equipment) accept them on a five year term.

Top Tip:

  • Your end users cannot tell that they are ‘not new’ in appearance and the meter is at zero.  To reduce costs, mix and match in your purchase new colour machines ( invest where you can see the latest print quality and increased features),whilst using the remanufactured black and white machines where volume is low but speed is an issue to reduce the overall costs. As black and white quality has reached it pinnacle don’t waste money on the hardware here as there is no benefit obtained for the extra cash spent.
  • Help meet your government imposed Weee target by using these machines without compromising print quality, new machine appearance and latest functionality.

Let us help reduce the cost of purchase whilst meet your end user expectations of new quality equipment.

Refurbished

This is a second hand machine returned to a dealer, where an engineer inspects and replaces parts, services the machine (does not replace meter) and cleans the exterior.  Though cheaper, this has normally no guarantee is older, has been upgraded for a reason and should only be looked at as a short term solution and cannot be financed for more than 3 years.  Often service is more expensive on these machines so a calculation is needed to see if it is best to invest is better hardware at a cheaper running cost when compared to your volume.

Top Tip:

  • If cash is limited, the requirement for the machine is short term or where finance for a new machine is not available, these machines can be put on our in-house rental contract over 1, 2 or 3 years with a separate service contract running co-terminously

Wash Wipe

As implied, avoid as it is often someone else’s old junk.  Never, admitted by the salesman, these machines produces maximum profit for little investment at high costs to the customer in service problems and downtime/user frustration.
