Multi-Functional Devices (MFD)s & Copiers
An MFD incorporates the functionality of multiple digital devices into one unit, so as to have a smaller footprint in a home or small business setting or provide centralized document management/distribution/production in a large-office setting. A typical MFD may act as a combination of some or all of the following devices: printer, copier, scanner, fax, scan to email with finishing features like booklet making or hole punching. It looks like a copier and depending on speed and volume is normally free standing on a cabinet or for slow home or office use a desktop version is available that looks more like a conventional fax machine.
These machines are available to produce Black & White or Colour at speeds ranging from 6 to 135 cpm in black and white and 15 to 90 cpm in colour.
